Okay, so in advance this is a whine, as in yes, I would like some accompanying cheese. I have a job, so I should'nt cry about that, but it seems determined to keep me out of the woods. I see the BFF 2.0 taking on a form like the Forest Friends facebookgroup,and I see the lunacy of this subject gaining strength and it makes me sad. It seems like we used to do better with the critical reasoning thing. And the only thing left is finding Bigfoot, which has grown incredibly monotonous. They obviously cant find Bigfoot because that kills the premise of the show....

I am drawing as my inspiration of this commentary, recent events on the Bigfoot Forums yet again. I see in this venue, the price of assumed innocence rearing it's head. You see the appearance there of one Mr. Stubstad, an ally of Robert Lidsay and Tom Biscardi, two well known charlatans.

People are actually listening to these idiots, and that i not a step forward, it show gullibility rising, alot..... there's the show by the BFRO which basically glorifies Matt Moneymaker, yet another questionable personality in the so called Community.

I took a break from the BFF for a few months, and I have been helped to take a break from the JREF, so I have had some time to ponder the state of the forums that are out for the would be Footer. I can't play while on break but I can observe so here are some my my more recent observations, in a larger context in addition to the BFF 2.0 and JREF specifically. First of all I am not able to ignore the facebook angle either. It would that there are at least examples of groups who have taken their presence off "forum" and onto facebook.

My apologies, I thought I was done giving the BFF more attention than it was due, but then the trends continue. I am still able to read the BFF, vomit induction notwithstanding and happened upon an edited post that just makes my point.

The post commits the cardinal sin for some on the BFF, it questions Saint Meldrum and even goes so far as to offer he has become a bit of joke, stating that he's basically the "Dr. Phil" of bigfoot an dhe will get trotted out every time the cultists want to offer offer up THEIR scientist to counter skeptic opinion.

So, the Kulls photo has been revealed. A Trail in the greater Rutland Vermont area has yielded what has been billed as the clearest trail cam picture ever (I take some potential poetic license in my wording), and as not a blobsqutach. I can now admit that I had seen the photo weeks prior to the announcement on Squatchdetective radio, but let the SquatchD have the courtesy of making his announcement. The claim was made that there has been a long history of Bigfoot activity in this area, and that much is true.

For anyone ever using any NV optics, you know that having some moonlight (to assist the tube intensifier) is very important. NV optics, while handy.. are not the only tool available to assist locating any "wildlife" around you, while sitting out in the darkness.

This is a subject that I see as a potential offshoot of the evidence argument, but it's also an argument for critical thinking. I've seen it happen for a while and it just seems to be getting in the way of any really progresstowards solving the whole Sasquatch phenominon. I speak of the blind faith some will put in the Bigfootery celebrities, often because they are accredited scientists or guys who have been around from the PGF film or what have you.
